Biography

Diane Bryant spent over two decades at Intel, rising from engineering roles to become one of the company's most senior executives. She served as Intel's CIO from 2006 to 2012, leading the IT organization during a critical period of global expansion and digital transformation. Her performance as CIO was strong enough that Intel moved her into a much larger general management role: Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intel's Data Center Group — the division responsible for Intel's server processors and data center infrastructure products, which at the time generated over $15 billion in annual revenue and was Intel's most profitable business.

As EVP of the Data Center Group, Bryant oversaw Intel's processor strategy for cloud, enterprise, and hyperscale data centers — working directly with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other hyperscalers who were Intel's largest customers. This gave her an unusually deep view into how the world's largest cloud operators think about infrastructure, compute, and data. In 2017 she joined Google Cloud as Chief Operating Officer, where she led Google's enterprise cloud sales and operations — representing one of the most senior moves from a semiconductor company to a cloud provider in the industry's history.
